1. Establish Goals

We run highly collaborative meetings with client stakeholders to gather insights, and identify problems, goals, and metrics for success. We use workshops, the power of a good conversation, and the ever important question of "why?" to get our clients to open up and start thinking beyond their job, and about the end user.

2. Research Users

We conduct surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews to get to know our users' needs and behaviors. We then craft insightful personas and experience maps from that research that help both our team, and the client's team remain focused on the user throughout the lifespan of the project.

3. Assess Landscape

We do a deep assessment of our client and their competitors' online spaces. We inventory, audit, and evaluate their content for quality and content gaps based on their users' needs.

4. Plan & Execute

Through early prototyping/wireframing and an iterative information architecture process, we build flexible and scalable architectures and design systems, that are both easy to use and manage. We take our clients jobs and happiness very seriously. That's why it's our top priority to have realistic content goals in place, and never over burden the clients' content team.

5. Add Delight

We don't stop at functional. We always try to ensure our online experiences are both usable and pleasurable. If we can delight our users, than we have really succeeded. This means constantly questioning conventions and innovating with the user in mind.

6. Test & Iterate

We evaluate and optimize our products through user testing, web analytics, and iteration. Websites are never finished, and that might be one of our favorite things about them.

Behind the Scenes

Sometimes working with me can be messy. Sometimes it can be fun. Sometimes it can be messy and fun.
